Founded in 2008 and led by its founder, Sol Systems is dedicated to shaping an energy future we can all believe in.  Role Responsibilities:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Overall on-site responsibility for project Ensure contractor is managing the construction schedule and progress.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Sol</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Evaluate and determine whether the EPC Contractor is complying with the technical specifications and material is being installed in a consistent and workmanship manner to secure the design performance and O&amp;M expectations over the project design life, and direct rework as needed.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Manage the EPC contractor to ensure procurement activity is on schedule and they are adequately managing their subcontractors and the jobsite materials.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Support the delivery and offloading of Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE)</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Evaluate and determine whether the EPC Contractor is complying with the Site Specific Safety Plan, and ensure all Contractor and Subcontractor activities are taking place per the plan and documented as such, and direct corrective action as needed.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Oversee the interconnection activity to ensure the Utility is performing their scope on schedule and that the contractor is on schedule for their interconnection activity and resolve any interconnection activity</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Oversee the AHJ inspections and ensure all issues are addressed to maintain permit</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Resolve RFI issues with the contractor and the Engineer of Record; navigate specification discrepancies and make judgment calls to maintain the schedule and ensure quality.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Ensure the EPC and their Subcontractors maintain sufficient qualified trade workers to complete the work on schedule.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Organize and facilitate on-site meetings with stakeholders</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Provide the Sol PM with regular reports, inspections, and photographs detailing site progress and</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Conduct detailed punch list inspection and manage the closeout of documented</li></ul><h2>A successful candidate will possess the following competencies, skills and attributes:</h2><ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Background in Utility Scale renewable energy construction or project engineering with at least 7 years’ experience</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">OSHA 10, preferably OSHA 30 Certification</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Deep understanding of solar construction process, common bottlenecks, and how to manage through</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Engineering or Construction Management degree a plus</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">NABCEP Certification also a plus</li></ul>Location &amp; Hours: This role will be located in Illinois, as the first project. The Construction Manager will have the opportunity for regular home- leave to be determined based on the needs of the project. A housing stipend based on the local market will be provided.Commitment &amp; Compensation: The base salary for this role is between $130,000 and $150,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
