If you’re mission-driven to globally collaborate on solutions that can change the battlefield and save lives, we invite you to explore our current opportunities.Facilities Technician<ul><li>Support facility operations including but not limited to facilities maintenance, and support such systems as HVAC, Lighting, Compressed Air systems, Construction, Plumbing, Renovation, and Preventive Maintenance Plans with Documentation.</li><li>Maintain production support equipment such as Di-water systems, pumps, vacuum systems filtration, air pollution control equipment, wastewater treatment systems, etc.</li><li>Perform maintenance services (painting, patching, ceiling tile replacement, fluorescent lamp replacement, light electrical and light plumbing work).</li><li>Assist Environmental, Health and Safety Department with safety improvements, Hazardous Materials/Waste services, and overall support for environmental compliance.</li><li>Document daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly emergency equipment is operational and machine maintenance logs are completed.</li><li>Be knowledgeable of inventory levels of spare parts and supplies and notifies appropriate individuals to replenish stock when necessary.</li><li>Follow Company policies and procedures for operational and safety compliance to support organizational goals and objectives.</li><li>Adapt to the changing demands of the work environment, respond promptly to service calls and emergency’s while ethically and respectfully working with all types of employees.</li><li>Use problem solving skills to identify and resolve any facility or EHS issue in a timely manner and communicate it to the team and/or manager in a tactful manner.</li><li>Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with team.</li><li>Additional tasks include non-hazardous and hazardous spill cleanup, assisting the EHS department.</li></ul>Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and custodial hand and electric powered tools.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.</li><li>Strong command of the English language both spoken and written. Ability to converse in Spanish is a plus.</li><li>Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions.</li><li>Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.</li><li>Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting the museum’s high standards for maintenance of facilities.</li><li>Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Keep computerized records and prepare reports. Access and employ job related computer software (email, work planning, time-keeping) at an effective proficiency level.</li><li>Works independently with limited supervision, interacting effectively with and quickly gaining the respect and support of facilities and museum staff.</li><li>Interacts with various levels of staff, guests and vendors.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Work Experience:<ul><li>High School diploma or GED</li><li>2 year Associate’s Degree or Trade school program completion. </li><li>At least 2 years of Facilities Maintenance experience maintaining the building’s interior and exterior.</li><li>Experience with HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing equipment.  </li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.#FLIR  Salary Range: $44,500.00-$59,300.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
