Key Responsibilities 1. Maintenance Planning &amp; Execution <ul><li>Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.</li><li>Ensure availability and reliability of critical equipment (e.g., rolling mills, furnaces, conveyors, cranes, compressors).</li><li>Implement condition monitoring systems (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)</li></ul>2. Equipment Reliability &amp; Performance <ul><li>Improve equipment uptime and reduce failure rates.</li><li>Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of major breakdowns and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Develop and track KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability</li></ul>3. Team Management <ul><li>Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.</li><li>Assign responsibilities and monitor performance.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and conduct training programs.</li></ul>4. Safety &amp; Compliance <ul><li>Ensure adherence to safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations.</li><li>Promote a strong safety culture and zero-accident workplace.</li><li>Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.</li></ul>5. Cost Control &amp; Budgeting <ul><li>Prepare and manage maintenance budgets.</li><li>Optimize maintenance costs without compromising reliability.</li><li>Monitor inventory and ensure availability of spares.</li></ul>6. Shutdown Management <ul><li>Plan and execute annual/quarterly plant shutdowns.</li><li>Coordinate with production, electrical, and other departments.</li><li>Ensure timely completion within budget.</li></ul>7. Vendor &amp; Contract Management <ul><li>Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers.</li><li>Evaluate vendor performance and control service quality.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and service agreements.</li></ul>8. Continuous Improvement <ul><li>Implement TPM, Lean, 5S, and other improvement initiatives.</li><li>Drive digitalization and automation in maintenance processes.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process optimization.</li><li>Spares optimization (slow/non-moving reduction)</li></ul>
