The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend applications. The candidate will also work closely with Product Development and SW Engineering to insure the development and delivery of quality products to our customers.</h2><h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2><h3>Development:</h3><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.</li><li>Ensure the implementation of best practices for coding, security, and performance.</li></ul>            Collaboration and Leadership:<ul><li>Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).</li><li>Contribute to team-wide continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>Technical Problem Solving:<ul><li>Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across the backend stack.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications:</h2>            Experience:<ul><li>5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development, with a focus on building scalable applications.</li><li>Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.</li><li>Expertise in API-related technologies, including JSON, REST, Swagger, and tools such as Postman.  </li><li>Proven ability to develop back-end services in a large-scale, high-performance environment.</li><li>Experience in Python is good to have.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience in Java 11+ and Spring Boot.</li><li>Experience in Microservices, Event Driven Systems and Kafka and Schema management.</li><li>Experience with MongoDB, Influx DB or similar No SQL databases.</li><li>Experience in Data heavy applications.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with access management protocols like OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience writing Junit tests and Integration tests.</li><li>Experience with Agile methodology or similar lean startup approach to building software.</li><li>Experience in IOT platforms would be a plus.</li><li>Experience in Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.</li><li>Experience in mentoring junior resources and cross team collaboration.</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us?</h2><ul><li>Work with state-of-the-art technologies in a global, collaborative team.</li><li>Contribute to meaningful projects driving innovation and sustainability for the world's largest water technology company.</li><li>Enjoy opportunities for growth, learning, and mentorship.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
