This role plays a key part in monthly close, balance sheet integrity, and accounting for significant corporate transactions, including reorganizations and other complex activities. The position partners closely with other accounting teams and supports audit and process improvement initiatives in a dynamic, growing organization.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare and record routine and complex journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.</li><li>Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, intercompany, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other key accounts; ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.</li><li>Perform daily cash monitoring to ensure cash balances are accurate and vendor invoices are paid timely.</li><li>Prepare and support renewable energy credit (REC) revenue invoicing, as applicable.</li><li>Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements and related variance analysis.</li><li>Support consolidation activities, including preparation and recording of consolidation and elimination entries.</li><li>Assist with accounting for corporate reorganizations and other significant transactions, including preparation of journal entry support and walkthrough documentation.</li><li>Support annual financial statement audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to external auditor inquiries.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation; assist with implementation of process improvements across accounting teams.</li><li>Participate in special projects and perform other accounting duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.</li><li>Four or more years of relevant accounting experience.</li><li>Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with exposure to complex accounting topics such as consolidations, multiple-entity structures, common control transactions, equity and investment accounting, foreign currency translation, and U.S. GAAP.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to meet monthly and quarterly close deadlines while producing complete, well-documented analyses and reconciliations.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.</li><li>Detail-oriented, hands-on mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability.</li><li>Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a willingness to ask questions, and a desire to grow professionally.</li><li>Preferred systems experience<ul><li>Microsoft Dynamics (D365) or other large ERP</li><li>Consolidations tool such as Fluence or Anaplan</li><li>Financial reporting tool such as Anaplan or Workiva</li></ul></li></ul>Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybridPhysical Demands: <ul><li>Hybrid work environment.</li><li>Position requires extended periods of sitting and working at a computer.</li></ul><h2>Applicants must have current authorization to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for an employment visa now or in the future.
