This role requires the ability to translate complex financial and policy narratives into compelling communications across all channels and audiences. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong writing and media relations skills and exceptional judgement. They will have a demonstrable track record in financial media, government or regulatory affairs, and high-stakes issues management, and will bring the strategic instincts and credibility to operate in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Working with Apollo investment teams across business lines to develop and implement strategic, communications plans that support the broader franchise as well as specific investment strategies and business areas</li><li>Proactive media engagement and content development, with a focus on credit markets and themes relevant to Apollo’s fast-paced, high-stakes and highly regulated business</li><li>Messaging and material generation including issue briefings, press releases, talking points, internal and external content</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Around 8-10 years of relevant experience with hands-on media relations skills and expertise in financial, transactional and corporate communications</li><li>Proven ability to consistently make sound judgments, engage and build trust with executives and effectively collaborate with others</li><li>Deep experience in investment and private capital, with hands-on experience in financial communications across credit and equities, M&amp;A communications, issues and crisis management, and a sophisticated understanding of the regulatory and public affairs landscape.</li><li>Background in government or politics, including experience at the SEC, CFTC, Federal Reserve, Treasury, or Capitol Hill is valued.
