What you will doThe Plant IT Technician is responsible for installing and supporting the IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure at the Oconee (West Union, SC) manufacturing facility. The position is primarily based in West Union, SC but may require occasional travel to support remote sites. The Plant IT Technician reports directly to the USCAN Plant Systems East Team Lead with a dotted line relationship to the local plant management teams.How you will do it<ul><li>Triage IT hardware, software, and network issues in an office and on the manufacturing plant floor</li><li>Manage SLAs and resolve incidents in ServiceNow</li><li>Act as a liaison between the ServiceDesk and/or application teams as needed</li><li>Configure and deploy IT hardware equipment in an office environment, such as printers, conferencing systems, etc. while following hardware and software standards</li><li>Configure and deploy IT equipment on the plant floor, such as Zebras, Satōs, PCs, thin clients, scan guns, radio frequency (RF) devices, and payroll clocks</li><li>Wear plant personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the plant floor and follow safety equipment programs according to company standards</li><li>Facilitate the full PCLM process</li><li>Maintain security, appearance, and organization of the server room</li><li>Be the on-site contact for service providers if needed</li><li>Primary interface of communication to Plant Management regarding WAN/LAN outages for infrastructure maintenance and planned hardware / software deployments</li><li>Partner across local departments—Engineering, HR, Maintenance—to advise on deployments and execute projects</li><li>Engage with the USCAN Plant Systems Team to execute projects across the region</li><li>Make recommendations to the USCAN Plant Systems Team when IT hardware and/or software upgrades are required and assist with quotes for procurement through approved vendors</li><li>Ensure new IT hardware serial numbers are recorded and included under existing maintenance contracts</li><li>Regularly spend portions of the day on the plant floor and occasionally lift parcels up to 40 pounds</li><li>Travel may be required (approximately 10%)</li></ul>What we look forRequired <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree preferred, plus at least 1 year of professional IT Technical support experience</li><li>In lieu of a bachelor's degree, will consider a 2-year degree and at least 2 years of experience OR 4 years of equivalent experience in combination of education and experience</li><li>Solid understanding of PCs including software installation, reimaging, Intune AD, Azure</li><li>Experience configuring / troubleshooting issues / and deploying IT hardware, such as printers, PCs, thin clients, scan guns, and/or radio frequency (RF) devices required</li><li>Understanding of networks and administration with knowledge of Access Points, Switches, VOIP, TCPIP, DHCP, DNS</li><li>Ability to be on-call and to resolve off-hours support situations requiring immediate attention</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>​Other desirable certifications include Network+, Security+, MCSE, CCNA, A+</li><li>Experience with inventory, asset management, and CMDB is a plus</li><li>Experience working in a manufacturing plant setting strongly preferred</li></ul><div>Oconee, SC- Components Plant </div><div>Our fully integrated plant in West Union, South Carolina produces all the parts that go into batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks.
