This person is organized and detail-oriented, loves to make chaotic situations run smoothly, understands the value of strong processes and will enthusiastically familiarize oneself with our software systems to assist in creating and then managing a seamless, efficient, and highly organized project onboarding process. This person is passionate about the type of work Generate is doing, looking to apply their experience to help scale a growing business and drive critical internal process efficiencies and initiatives. This person can juggle – and juggle well – managing a variety of stakeholders and projects simultaneously while providing the highest standards of performance.What you will be doing at Generate Capital as an Assistant Project Manager:<ul style=""><li>Support relationship building and onboarding of project landowners.</li><li>Assist in site diligence in conjunction with internal teams and consultants including critical issues screening, preliminary design and energy model, landowner and utility issues.</li><li>Support the Project Manager in overseeing EPC contractors and ensuring alignment with goals, contract terms, and project timelines</li><li>Assist in reviewing and managing EPC contractors, including tracking key deliverables, notices, change orders, and payment milestones</li><li>Help monitor construction progress and milestone achievement, ensure timely updates are provided to stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate engineering review of EPC contractor site-specific designs, energy models, and permitting documents for accuracy and compliance</li><li>Coordinate internal reviews of technical submittals, RFIs, and change orders with engineering, legal, and finance teams</li><li>Track project budgets, invoice approvals, and cost forecasts, ensuring adherence to financial controls and reporting requirements</li><li>Maintain organized documentation in internal project management systems, ensuring traceability and compliance with audit standards</li><li>Attend project meetings with EPCs, consultants, and internal stakeholders, documenting action items and coordinating follow-through with Project Managers</li><li>Coordinate review of project specific design and documentation with utilities, interconnection teams, and permitting authorities to maintain project momentum and regulatory compliance</li><li>Help coordinate project turnover process, ensuring a smooth handoff to the Asset Management team</li></ul>Candidate qualifications &amp; core characteristics:<ul style=""><li>A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission</li><li>2+ years’ experience in development administration and/or project management, with some exposure to solar PV projects preferred</li><li>Ability to flex across the development and construction lifecycle</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through</li><li>Effective written and oral communicator capable of motivating colleagues and external parties to collaborate and respond to requests.</li><li>Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references</li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills</li><li>High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges</li><li>Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode</li><li>Entrepreneurial spirit: flexibility, comfort with risk, recognition that “perfect can be the enemy of the good”</li></ul>Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes.
