<h2>The Role</h2>Our edge device lives outdoors, exposed to weather, and minimally accessible after installation. You will own the enclosure and mechanical integration, device mounting, and support electrical design for non-RF subsystems. This role bridges mechanical and electrical work. <h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Design the device enclosure from concept to DFM-ready: IP-rated sealing, UV-resistant materials, conductor clamping interface</li><li>Manage mechanical integration of PCBs, battery, and connectors inside the enclosure;&nbsp;</li><li>Define thermal management approach</li><li>Support EE work outside the RF domain: connector selection, cable harness spec, analog support circuits</li><li>Develop environmental test plans; support qualification to relevant NEMA/IEC standards</li><li>Produce mechanical drawings and assembly documentation for manufacturing</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>3+ years in product hardware engineering with at least one outdoor or industrial product shipped</li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO; able to produce production-ready drawings with GD&amp;T</li><li>Experience with IP-rated enclosure design (sealing, gaskets, fasteners)</li><li>Electrical fluency: able to read schematics, specify connectors and cable assemblies</li></ul> <h2>Nice to Have</h2><ul><li>Experience with utility-grade or outdoor electrical hardware</li><li>Working knowledge of DFM for injection molding</li><li>Thermal modeling for sealed enclosures (FEA or analytical)</li><li>PCB layout in Altium or KiCad for low-speed or power circuits</li></ul>
