You’ll carry designs from schematic capture through DVT closure and production transition, working hands-on alongside mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to root-cause issues across circuits and full-system behaviorResponsibilities:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Lead board bring-up, validation, and rework tracking; debug and root-cause issues across circuits, firmware integration points, and full-system behavior </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Own production-intent electrical design - schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and DFM</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Design and validate multi-rail power architectures </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Design and implement sensing and mechatronic platforms </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Design with certification in mind (UL, ETL, FCC, EU, Canada)</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Contribute to design reviews, EVT/DVT/PVT readiness, and the transition from prototype to production</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, controls, science, operations, and product teams to make architecture and tradeoff decisions</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Support relationships with ODMs, CMs, PCB fab/assembly vendors, and component distributors; contribute to component sourcing, alternates qualification, and DFM feedback </li></ul>Qualifications:Required<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent</li><li style="font-weight:400;">4+ years of hands-on experience on production hardware products, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership through bring-up and validation</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or equivalent</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Solid experience with microprocessors, sensor integration, motor control, and embedded systems</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Comfort working with AC power systems and an understanding of relevant safety considerations</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Able to independently bring up and debug new hardware; strong bench proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, thermal imaging, and data acquisition; hands-on with PCB rework and cable assembly</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Strong communicator; able to operate in ambiguous problem spaces, synthesize requirements, and drive closure with limited oversight</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Scripting proficiency in Python and embedded C/C++ for test automation, data analysis, and prototype firmware</li><li style="font-weight:400;">High-power appliance, commercial equipment, or industrial product development experience</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Safety certification experience (UL, ETL, FCC, CE, IC) — including pre-compliance testing, EMI debug, and cert lab management</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Thermal system design - component derating, temperature sensing and control, PCB layout for heat dissipation, and heatsink selection</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Designing interlock and safety architectures for certified appliances</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, RS-485, CAN)</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Experience with Jetson, Raspberry Pi CM, or other embedded compute platforms integrated into hardware systems</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Startup experience preferred</li></ul>The estimated base salary range for this position is $195k to $225k, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant.
