<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  We are seeking a Sr. Business Development Associate to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach with existing customers, while working closely with the extended business development team to propose new business ideas. Our ideal candidate will be able to strengthen client relationships, drive growth, while being responsible for reviewing market trends and developing long-term strategies to support company success.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.</li> <li>Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.</li> <li>Promote the company’s products or services to prospective clients with the support of a manager.</li> <li>Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.</li> <li>Operate in coordination with the Line of Business (LOB) leader and the BDAs, Sr. BDAs Managers, and Managers for all customer account matters.</li> <li>Obtain relevant customer information including but not limited to organization charts, long- and short-term customer plans, competitor impacts, current service plans including who performs work that EPE can provide.</li> <li>Support managers on whitespace plans for prospective new business opportunities.</li> <li>Create relationships with new prospect accounts.</li> <li>Understand basic contract language to ensure EPE compliance.</li> <li>Ensure Salesforce is current including customer pipeline.</li> <li>Utilize customer pipeline to facilitate sales process.</li> <li>Provide routine customer updates to LOB Leader and work in collaboration to grow accounts.</li> <li>Address customer issues in a timely manner.</li> <li>Manage BD goals throughout the year.</li> <li>Learn how to accurately provide BD and revenue forecast updates throughout the year with the support of a manager.</li> <li>Support the Operations Team with delivering proposals and processing service agreements with the client</li> <li>Train and then actively sell EPE services to new prospect customers.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>3-5 years of professional experience as a business development associate, account manager or related experience.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree required in a related field</li> <li>1+ years of energy experience working with utilities, energy development or energy consulting.</li> <li>Proven record of high-volume sales growth</li> <li>Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques</li> <li>Knowledge of account management principles</li> <li>Salesforce or other CRM, HubSpot</li> <li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook</li> <li>Proficient in Power Point including development of basic Sales Presentations</li> <li>Strong organizational, relationships building, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Proven success onboarding whitespace clients obtaining commercial documents</li> <li>Keep accurate documentation and gathering of commercial documentation</li> <li>Ability to work well independently and build relationships with other departments and segments to accomplish objectives.</li> <li>Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Flexible with the ability to manage change and meet deadlines</li> <li>Attention to detail and has high standards on producing quality work</li> <li>Proficiency in Spanish and/or additional languages preferred</li></ul> Lead the Change!Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe, providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
