AECOM is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. This is a new position We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.  To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:<ul><li>Responsible for the acquisition, warehousing and  delivery of all parts, equipment, services and supplies according to company standards and specifications at competitive prices.</li><li>Works under general direction.</li><li>Works with the Company logistics systems and processes.</li><li>Understands logistics terminology, measures, concepts and principles.</li><li> Recognizes logistics processes/project actions that may impact the project. </li><li>Utilizes schedules in the establishment of logistics milestones.</li><li>Prepares evaluation of freight forwarders’ capabilities and Requests for Quotations for logistics and freight forwarding services.</li><li>Contacts freight forwarders for timely submittal of logistics bids.</li><li>Tabulates transportation/logistics bids and assists in performing the bid analysis price and cost analysis, and establishing cost reasonableness. </li><li>Assists in contacting freight forwarders for clarifications. </li><li>Maintains documentation of the logistics process.</li><li>Assists in the preparation of negotiation strategy and may participate in negotiation meetings with freight forwarders.</li><li>Assists in the preparation of client approval packages prior to award. </li><li>Prepares logistics agreements.</li><li>Assists in the evaluation of disputes with shippers and freight forwarders. </li><li>Supports review of invoices and resolution of discrepancies.</li><li>Supports monitoring performance of shippers and freight forwarders. </li><li>Assists in the preparation of logistics reports.</li></ul>
