We are looking for a Controllership Accountant to join our Finance team supporting the Netherlands and Belgium entities within our Europe &amp; India business.This role is a key position within the accounting and finance organisation and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multinational environment alongside internal and external stakeholders across the region. The successful candidate will support statutory reporting, technical accounting, audit activities, month-end close processes, and financial compliance activities for multiple legal entities.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage and support the financial administration of multiple entities across the Netherlands and Belgium.</li><li>Prepare, review, and analyse financial reporting including balance sheets, profit &amp; loss statements, and cash flow reporting.</li><li>Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal postings and general ledger accounting.</li><li>Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local GAAP and legal regulations.</li><li>Support external audit activities by preparing audit documentation, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory notes, and responding to auditor queries.</li><li>Prepare VAT returns, statutory filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>Analyse budget variances, forecasts, and financial performance to support business decision-making.</li><li>Reconcile subledgers and support accounting system accuracy and financial controls.</li><li>Work closely with offshore Global Business Services teams to support efficient and high-quality accounting processes.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with finance colleagues, business leaders, advisors, and external stakeholders.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation across accounting and reporting activities.</li><li>Participate in special projects and support implementation of accounting policies and financial compliance initiatives.</li></ul>
