We interface and collaborate with our Transportation, Water, Environment and Advisory business lines daily.  Our B+P Washington DC studio is a dynamic, energetic environment that provides industry-leading design projects in aviation, government, higher education and corporate commercial markets. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Responsible for initiating and developing design and construction document drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline leaders.</li><li>Under some supervision, may complete design assignments of moderate complexity.</li><li>Exercises sound judgment in assessing problem situations or complex design issues, and uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.</li><li>Involved in client-facing interactions including presentations, meetings, answering questions, following up on issues .</li><li>Reviews vendor documents for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.</li><li>Knowledge of construction administration, preparing site observations, review submittals and respond to RFIs.</li><li>Understand and prepares FF&amp;E packages.</li><li>Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.</li><li>Applies education, growing industry knowledge, technical capabilities and experience to perform assignments.</li><li>Experiments with new approaches and shares key learnings with team members</li><li>Accountable for specific portions of a project or process with general oversight</li><li>Learns to be responsive to latest information and adapts to modified approaches when circumstances change</li><li>Prepares designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.</li><li>Provides technical guidance and assistance to Jr. Designers and may support the development of less experienced colleagues/designers.</li><li>Advises the Interior Design Director/Leader about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems.</li><li>Assists with the planning and scheduling of design tasks associated with assigned project.</li></ul>
