In this role, individuals will work directly with our Operations team, to design, troubleshoot, and repair our production equipment. The successful applicant will be comfortable with hands-on work as well as detailed mechanical design.<h3>What you'll do:</h3><ul style=""><li>Write, and debug PLC and HMI programming with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable</li><li>Collaborate with process, controls, maintenance, and operations teams to support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting efforts.</li><li>Lead equipment specification, design reviews, and technical evaluations to ensure solutions meet operational and manufacturing requirements.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues by applying engineering principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.</li><li>Develop and implement innovative solutions to challenging manufacturing problems while supporting scale-up and production goals.</li><li>Champion safety by ensuring equipment designs, modifications, and processes meet safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.</li></ul><h3>What you'll bring:</h3><ul style=""><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field preferred; equivalent industrial experience considered</li><li>3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment</li><li>Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)</li><li>Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and industrial controls</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation</li><li>Experience working cross-functionally with maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment issues</li><li>Knowledge of preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability principles</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment </li></ul> <h3>Where you'll work: </h3>This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA.
