And that’s where you come in.Accountabilities The main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for mechanical components</li><li>Analyze and assessment of technical documentation from Suppliers</li><li>Prepare and verify mechanical installation/integration drawings/specifications</li><li>Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers </li><li>Attend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports</li><li>Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases</li><li>Review design documentation with customers and suppliers</li><li>Prepare structural drawings (carbody shell, bogie frames, mechanical components)</li><li>Prepare equipment layout and mechanical routing drawings</li><li>Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM)</li><li>Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)</li><li>Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase</li></ul>Required Skills/ Knowledge<ul><li>Experience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments</li><li>Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards</li><li>Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool</li><li>Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations</li><li>Good knowledge of mechanical disciplines (installation, interfaces, component design, etc.)</li><li>Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies</li><li>Good knowledge of mechanical CAD systems (Catia or Creo preferred)</li><li>Good knowledge of piping systems, fittings and joint design methodologies</li><li>Good knowledge of noise/vibration modelling and assessment of mechanical components</li><li>Good knowledge of welded structure design rules and standards (EN 15085)</li><li>Good knowledge of PLM systems (Windchill preferred)</li><li>Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment</li><li>Strong planning and organizational skills, alongside team-working and problem-solving mindset</li><li>Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)</li><li>Ability to work within project teams under minimum supervision</li><li>Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips</li></ul>Desired Skills/ Knowledge<ul><li>Knowledge of railway vehicles running dynamics performance assessment</li><li>Fast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments</li><li>Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul>Education/QualificationsMaster's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical disciplines mandatory).LanguagesKnowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).“Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.”Proponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000 € e 46.000 €Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
