Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties:   <ul><li>Able to perform all Preconstruction Assistant Project Manager job responsibilities   </li><li>Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements   </li><li>Prepare billings and expedite payments   </li><li>Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system   </li><li>Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids   </li><li>Write project procedures   </li><li>Review plans for completeness and accuracy   </li><li>Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff   </li><li>Ensure procurement activities align with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules   </li><li>Collaborate with the business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal departments to create contract scopes of work   </li><li>Work with Engineering and Procurement to understand design constraints and material lead-times to ensure long lead procurement items are appropriately released during the LNTP phase   </li><li>Define and create LNTPs   </li><li>Research and understand project specific design requirements (internal requirements, owner/contract requirements, and permit requirements)   </li><li>Liaison with the Engineering Manager to track changes that impact project schedule and/or budget and provide those changes to the Project Executive   </li><li>Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration   </li><li>Maintain timely and accurate reporting to the Project Team and management, specifically cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion   </li><li>Effectively manage project risk; evaluate probability and severity of risk events as they are identified / anticipated and prepare mitigation plans with project team operations management   </li><li>Develop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors; develop strategies and skills to build a strong partnership with the Owner, while still ensuring prompt owner notification of impacts and preservation of rights under the EPC </li></ul>Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:   <ul><li>Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience  </li><li>Thorough understanding of plans and specifications  </li><li>Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)  </li><li>Leadership ability – able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project team  </li><li>Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills  </li><li>Strong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as other industry-standard tools, such as Bluebeam Revu  </li><li>Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting  </li><li>Organizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills  </li><li>Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter  </li><li>Able to travel (estimated 25%)  </li><li>5+ years construction experience  </li><li>2+ years scheduling and estimating experience  </li></ul>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.SOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
