From the processing of customer payments, processing invoices, accounts receivable collections and maintaining customer accounts, other related processes.  The role also provides administrative support. Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li>The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:<ul><li>Supports the invoicing process and posting to the accounting software.</li><li>Issuing customer invoices (mail, e-mail, web portal)</li><li>Over sees and is responsible for the timely collection of past due invoices.</li><li>Assists with customer payment information into the accounting software. (ACH, checks, cash, credit card payments).</li><li>Set-up of new customer accounts in the accounting software.</li><li>Set-up of Hitachi as a vendor for customers as needed.</li><li>Support the credit approval of new and existing customers.</li><li>Maintain customer accounts by issuing credit memos, debit memos, refunds, etc.</li><li>Reconciling customer accounts.  Maintaining various other accounting and financial records as required.</li><li>Answers customer and internal inquiries regarding customer accounts. Help problem solve customer complaints.</li><li>Review customer statements.</li><li>Provide audit support as necessary.</li><li>Assist with special projects as necessary.</li></ul></li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Associate degree in accounting preferred</li></ul>Professional experience: <ul><li>One-two year’s previous experience</li><li>Microsoft Excel proficient</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams, prioritize tasks and deliverables.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP is a plus.</li><li>Able to prepare written correspondence/reports in a clear/concise manner.</li></ul>Key behaviors:<ul><li>Candidate must work well in a team environment.</li><li>Candidate must be dependable/accountable especially in a remote work arrangement.</li><li>Strict attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently on a daily basis.</li><li>Must be results-oriented, high energy, and a representative of the HGAP Values.</li></ul>Direct reports:<ul><li>N/A</li></ul><div></div>The successful candidate is responsible for complying with Hitachi Global Air Power US Code of Ethics and related policies.
