<div>Position Summary: The Solar Technician I will be the junior field service technician for CSS’ operations and maintenance of solar facilities. The Solar Technician I is responsible for supporting senior field staff in the safe and timely completion of all service obligations, learning CSS company protocols, and representing CSS in the field.   Essential Functions: <ul><li>Prioritize safety daily and actively participates in site safety meetings </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with commissioning, quality assurance inspection, or preventative maintenance work as needed </li></ul><ul><li>Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to clients </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure a premium level of customer service </li></ul><ul><li>Perform vegetative maintenance as required </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in weekend and holiday on-call schedule </li></ul><ul><li>Occasional overtime work and overnight travel required </li></ul>  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul><li>Proficiency reading technical specification documents, site plans, &amp; electrical schematics </li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with tools, terminologies, and processes associated with electrical and mechanical trade work </li></ul><ul><li>Basic understanding of the principles of electrical theory and photovoltaic power generation  </li></ul><ul><li>General computer, network, and technology proficiency </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding &amp; experience in the operation and concepts relating to electrical and mechanical trade work </li></ul><ul><li>Clear verbal and written communication skills </li></ul><ul><li>Team oriented attitude </li></ul><ul><li>Values staff development and organizational excellence </li></ul>  Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record to operate a company vehicle </li></ul>  Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>First-Aid/CPR/AED </li></ul><ul><li>NFPA 70E </li></ul><ul><li>OSHA 10 </li></ul><ul><li>Field experience in residential, commercial or utility scale solar PV </li></ul>  Physical Demands: <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness </li></ul> Work Environment: <ul><li>~90% of time spent in-field at utility scale solar facilities </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to native plants and, occasionally, animals </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to electrical hazards </li></ul> The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
