The PositionThe Director, Supply Chain is responsible for leading Mara’s global supply chain operations, ensuring efficient, reliable, and cost-effective execution across procurement, contract manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. Reporting to the VP, Operations, this role supports the execution of supply chain strategy while driving continuous improvement across day-to-day operations.This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is constantly identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance performance. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and production, while building efficient and scalable processes to support growth. This is a hybrid role based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Key ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this position include:Supply Chain Execution &amp; Team Leadership<ul><li>Lead day-to-day supply chain operations across procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.</li><li>Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across multiple locations and time zones.</li><li>Ensure strong execution, clear accountability, and alignment with operational priorities set by the business</li></ul> Sales &amp; Operations Planning (S&amp;OP)<ul><li>Lead the execution of the S&amp;OP process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, supply planning, and production.</li><li>Facilitate monthly S&amp;OP meetings with sales, marketing, and operations teams to support execution of the plan.</li><li>Implement inventory control practices to optimize stock levels and improve working capital efficiency.</li><li>Use data and reporting to identify gaps, improve forecast accuracy, and proactively address risks.</li></ul> Procurement &amp; Contract Manufacturing Management<ul><li>Manage contract manufacturing and logistics partners to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance meet business requirements.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives with key partners.</li><li>Support supplier selection and onboarding in collaboration with the VP, Operations.</li><li>Negotiate commercial terms and manage ongoing vendor relationships.</li><li>Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels, and strengthen supplier reliability.</li></ul> Logistics &amp; Distribution<ul><li>Oversee global logistics and distribution operations to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.</li><li>Manage warehouse and inventory processes to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and inefficiencies.</li><li>Partner with logistics providers to improve transportation performance and optimize network efficiency.</li></ul> Continuous Improvement &amp; Operational Efficiency<ul><li>Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to streamline processes and reduce costs.</li><li>Establish and track KPIs to monitor performance and drive accountability.</li><li>Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve efficiency and scalability.</li></ul> Risk Management &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, trade requirements, and internal policies.
