Tishman Construction Corporation/AECOM Tishman is seeking an Assistant General Counsel in New York City, NY to support our exciting construction projects. About Construction Management—Tishman Construction Corporation d/b/a AECOM Tishman (AECOM Tishman) AECOM Tishman is a New York-based construction manager specializing in high-rise commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Founded on a reputation of professionalism and quality, with the financial backing of AECOM, we are one of New York City's premier builders.This position may provide some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and virtual work, and must be based in New York, NY.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Works on legal matters for Tishman.</li><li>Reviews, prepares and/or negotiates contracts and subcontracts. </li><li>Identifying risks and preparation of legal advice with input as to risk assessments and requests for approval to proceed with projects or pursuits.</li><li>Provides counsel regarding collateral matters arising in connection with business transactions. </li><li>Partners with the commercial and operations teams to identify and protect the interests and objectives of the company, to minimize risk of loss and/or liability. </li><li>Manage external counsel where appropriate and necessary in judicial and administrative litigation and/or claims</li><li>Work with Human Resources, Analysts and Insurance departments to review all contracts, bids, and contract-related services pre and post contract performance. </li><li>Lead negotiations between Tishman and its clients. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li><li>Responsible for the delivery of varied technical and professional activities.</li><li>Work is subject to practices and procedures covered by precedents, well-defined policy, and process considerations that may require periodic review with other teams or work groups.</li><li>Due to changing priorities or different situations encountered, incumbent has latitude to consider which procedure to use.</li><li>Possesses advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.</li><li>Extremely organized with a strong sense of priority, urgency and commitment to deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>
