From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.<div>.What you’ll do: <ul><li>You will be part of an elite technician team that supports a wide range of projects — from major broadcast events (NFL, NBA, golf, college sports) to assisting Utilities customers or serving as part of a turnaround team in a refinery. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide specialized broadcast power support for live sports and media productions with networks such as ESPN, NBC, and CBS, understanding their unique site setup requirements and timelines. </li></ul><ul><li>Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems. </li></ul><ul><li>Install and commission for Events Services and other complex broadcast projects. </li></ul><ul><li>Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers. </li></ul><ul><li>Serve as a primary client-facing representative on-site, communicating clearly and professionally with technical managers from broadcast companies. </li></ul><ul><li>Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard and within agreed budgets. </li></ul><ul><li>Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals. </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment. </li></ul><ul><li>Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance. </li></ul>You are: <ul><li>Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time </li></ul><ul><li>High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience </li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of experience working on Power Generators, commercial HVAC equipment, Chillers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated experience supporting broadcast power for live events, including familiarity with how major sports networks (ESPN, NBC, CBS, etc.) set up and operate their broadcast sites </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interface confidently and professionally with broadcast technical managers and other high-profile clients </li></ul><ul><li>Professional appearance and well-spoken demeanor is an extremely client-facing role </li></ul><ul><li>Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card </li></ul><ul><li>Valid driver’s license </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs. </li></ul>Here's what you'll get: <ul><li>Home-based opportunity located in any US city with a major airport, with up to 75% travel </li></ul><ul><li>Competitive pay $30-$45hr, with flexibility based on experience with potential for overtime and/or weekends </li></ul><ul><li>$2.50/hr. travel allowance </li></ul><ul><li>Annual bonus program </li></ul><ul><li>Premium cost medical plan option available. </li></ul><ul><li>Robust technical training programs, in person and virtual, on diesel, gas, compressed air, electrical, controls, oil free air compressors, HVAC, microgrid &amp; storage and more </li></ul><ul><li>Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement available </li></ul><ul><li>Safety-focused culture working on brand new technology </li></ul>Other essential job requirements  <ul><li>Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts</li><li>Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices</li><li>Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level</li><li>Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders</li><li>Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
