With one of the most experienced management teams in solar, category-leading products, and a fortified technology roadmap, NEXTracker is making a dramatic impact on the power plant of the future. A typical day would be: <ul><li>Constructing prototypes and custom fixtures for mechanical tests, choosing appropriate materials for fabricating test fixtures as per requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Generating tool path for CNC machines using CAM software or G-Codes/M-Codes. </li></ul><ul><li>Operating machining tools to shape and refine test specimens and fixtures. </li></ul><ul><li>Using welding machines for assembling testing parts and fixtures, assembling and integrating mechanical components and systems for testing requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensuring the precision and quality of fabricated components, conducting routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.  </li></ul><ul><li>Working closely with engineers, designers, and test technicians to understand project requirements. Recording detailed information about the fabrication process and materials used. </li></ul><ul><li>Addressing issues that may arise during fabrication and finding practical solutions. </li></ul><ul><li>Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines during the fabrication process. </li></ul><ul><li>Preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines </li></ul><ul><li>Maintaining required tooling and keeping stock </li></ul><ul><li>Participating in daily update meetings and recording daily updates </li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Diploma in mechanical engineering / ITI machinist or certification or equivalent. </li></ul><ul><li>Must have hands-on experience in a fabrication role. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in using machining tools (CNC milling and lathe machines, Conventional machines like lathe, surface grinder, drilling, etc), welding equipment (MIG, ARC, Spot) and other fabrication techniques. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in generating tool path using CAM software (Delcam, Mastercam, etc) and creating machining programs using G-Codes/M-Codes </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of materials and their properties, enabling appropriate selection for test components. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong emphasis on safety protocols and practices within a laboratory or fabrication environment </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and other team members.  </li></ul><ul><li>Effective communication skills to convey ideas and understand project requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to manufacture fixtures for testing using the machine shop. </li></ul>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
