AECOM is actively seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Ontario. The ideal candidate could work out of any of our office locations throughout Ontario. This is a full-time hybrid new position.We are looking for candidates who have a can-do attitude, are enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals, with a strong technical background; an engineering designation (P.Eng) is required, and field/project management experience is also an asset.The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the design and construction of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, railways, highways, and airports, excavation support systems, tunnels, trenchless, and ground improvement methods (stone columns, soil mixing, etc.).This position offers the opportunity to work on various civil/geotechnical engineering projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. In this role you will be responsible for developing cost-effective, practical civil/geotechnical engineering designs and construction solutions for our clients.This position requires the applicant to have strong technical design, reporting, communication, and organizational skills to manage projects and act as a technical resource for the team.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on major transportation, water resources, marine, civil infrastructure, and building projects. The successful candidate will have a key role in the development and growth of our geotechnical practice in Canada.
