Control systems, including:</li><li>Calibration and troubleshooting of transmitters (pressure, flow, temperature, level)</li><li>Maintenance of control valves, analyzers, and CEMS equipment</li><li>Assisting with DCS (ABB) GE MKVIe Turbine Controls and PLC-based control systems</li><li>Executing preventive and corrective maintenance using Maximo, ensuring accurate documentation and work quality</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical one-lines, schematics, protection diagrams, wiring diagrams, and P&amp;IDs</li><li>Supporting planned outages, including contractor coordination, oversight, and QA/QC of electrical work</li><li>Ensuring compliance with NERC, OSHA, WA L&amp;I, arc flash, and electrical safety requirements</li><li>Participating in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions for electrical and control system failures</li><li>Supporting plant upgrades and modernization projects, including relay replacements, electrical distribution improvements, and DCS upgrades</li></ul>What you will bring to the role:Education:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Journeyman Electrician (WA State or equivalent) strongly preferred</li><li>Additional training in high-voltage systems, protective relaying, or instrumentation is highly desirable</li></ul>Experience and Skills:<ul><li>5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in power generation or heavy industry</li><li>Demonstrated hands-on experience across: High Voltage (typically up to 230 kV switchyard systems), Medium Voltage distribution (4 kV–15 kV systems), and Low Voltage power and control systems</li><li>Experience with: Protective relays and electrical protection schemes, Switchgear, transformers, and motor control systems and Grid interconnection equipment and practices.</li><li>Experience in combined cycle facilities, particularly GE 7FA units and steam cycle equipment, is highly desirable</li><li>Working knowledge of: Electrical system coordination and fault protection, VFDs, motor starting methods, and auxiliary systems, and Industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)</li><li>Familiarity with: DCS platforms (ABB preferred) and PLCs and CEMS and environmental monitoring instrumentation</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Strong troubleshooting capability across LV, MV, and HV systems</li><li>Ability to safely perform energized system awareness and de-energized verification practices</li><li>Advanced understanding of arc flash, grounding, and electrical hazard mitigation</li><li>Proficient with CMMS systems (Maximo) and standard Microsoft tools</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multi-disciplined team environment</li><li>High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Heavy industrial facility designated as a safety-sensitive environment</li><li>Regular work in electrical rooms, MCC buildings, and outdoor switchyard environments</li><li>Requires use of arc flash PPE and adherence to electrical safety procedures</li><li>Physical requirements include walking, climbing, lifting, and working at heights</li><li>Participation in callouts, overtime, and outage support is required</li></ul>Additional Details:<ul><li>The pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr.
