<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related discipline.</li><li>Relevant HSSE certifications accredited by Philippine authorities and recognized industry organizations.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of HSSE experience in construction, infrastructure, dam, hydropower, tunnel, or power projects.</li><li>Knowledge of Philippine occupational safety and health regulations, environmental regulations, and international HSSE standards.</li><li>Experience in large-scale civil works, underground works, or hydropower projects is preferred.</li><li>Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and safety surveillance activities.</li><li>Monitor contractor compliance with approved HSSE plans, procedures, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.</li><li>Verify implementation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessments, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).</li><li>Ensure compliance with project specifications, Philippine regulations, and applicable international HSSE standards.</li><li>Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.</li><li>Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental risks.</li><li>Recommend and track corrective and preventive actions until closure.</li><li>Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews for high-risk activities such as tunneling, blasting, excavation, lifting operations, confined space entry, work at height, and electrical works.</li><li>Support implementation of control measures to minimize project risks.</li><li>Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental events.</li><li>Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and HSSE observations.</li><li>Maintain records of inspections, corrective actions, and safety statistics.</li><li>Monitor closure of HSSE-related findings and recommendations</li><li>Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and awareness campaigns.</li><li>Promote safe work behaviors and foster a positive safety culture.</li><li>Provide guidance to contractors and workers on HSSE requirements.</li><li>Participate in emergency drills and preparedness exercises</li><li>Monitor implementation of environmental management measures, including erosion control, waste management, dust suppression, noise control, and water quality protection.</li><li>Verify compliance with environmental permits and project environmental management plans.</li><li>Report environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, supervision teams, and project management regarding HSSE issues.</li><li>Attend site coordination meetings and provide HSSE updates.</li><li>Support the Resident Engineer and HSSE Manager in achieving project HSSE objectives and targets</li></ul>At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
