The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.This position will machine components by operating various machines and equipment.<ul><li>Set up and operate various CNC machines.</li><li>Set up and adjust fixtures, cutting tools, and make tooling offsets on machines.</li><li>Utilize blueprint specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece and setup requirements.</li><li>Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications via first piece inspection, automated where applicable.</li><li>Measure mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining as required.</li><li>Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.</li><li>Use hand-help precision instruments to verify quality: CMM(s), Hommell, Profilometer, micrometers, calipers, and other gauge types.</li><li>Adjust as necessary to maintain quality parts within control limits for SPC</li><li>Interpret departmental automated measurement reports and confer with technical team members and leadership to resolve machining issues.</li><li>Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards).</li><li>Read and understand internal procedures and policies.</li><li>Manual recovery of in cell robotics, move to home position, etc.</li><li>Transport material as required using proper handling methods.</li><li>Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings.  (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)</li><li>Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.</li><li>Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.</li><li>Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.</li><li>Perform other duties as needed.</li></ul><ul><li>Completion of high school or equivalent. </li><li>Experience in fast paced industrial environment.</li><li>Requires one (1) year of experience as a Machinist I or equivalent experience.
