Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technical Sales Engineer – Cooling Towers, able to be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. You’ll drive sales of evaporative cooling systems, including open-circuit, closed-circuit, hybrid, and modular cooling towers for industrial, HVAC, power generation, and process cooling applications.Power without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.               What you’ll do as Technical Sales Engineer – Cooling Towers:<ul><li>Work closely with engineers, contractors, facility managers, and end-users to identify needs, provide technical solutions, and close complex capital equipment sales</li><li>Conduct site surveys, load calculations, and performance evaluations to recommend optimal cooling tower solutions.</li><li>Prepare detailed technical proposals, including equipment sizing, selections, P&amp;IDs, specifications, and ROI/payback analyses.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on custom solutions and new product feedback.</li><li>Present technical seminars, webinars, and product training to consulting engineers, contractors, and facility owners</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (mechanical contractors, EPC firms, consulting engineers, industrial plants, and OEMs).</li><li>Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order close and handover to project execution teams.</li><li>Provide post-sale technical support and coordinate with service teams for startup, troubleshooting, and optimization.</li><li>Stay current with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies, identifying market trends, competitor activity, and new application opportunities.</li><li>Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and gross margin goals.</li><li>Prepare forecasts and sales reports for management and maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).</li></ul>You are:<ul><li>Ideally degree qualified with a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical or related technical field</li><li>A cooling tower specialist with 3–7+ years of technical sales experience in cooling towers, HVAC, heat exchangers, pumps, or related process equipment.</li><li>Highly knowledgeable with a strong understanding of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, water chemistry, and cooling tower performance testing.</li><li>Proficient with cooling tower selection software (e.g., manufacturer-specific programs, HAP, or TRACE).</li><li>Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents.</li><li>Knowledgeable of Legionella control, water treatment, and energy-efficiency standards</li><li>Ideally a registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain</li><li>An excellent communicator and presenter – able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>Strong skilled in negotiation and closing with a customer-first, consultative approach</li><li>Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills</li><li>Willing to travel 40-60% (customer visits, job sites, trade shows, and factory support) with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record</li></ul>This role is perfect for a technically strong sales professional who enjoys solving engineering problems while driving revenue.Here’s what you’ll get:<ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Excellent Sales Incentive Scheme</li><li>Be part of a global organization with a reputable name, a thriving business with strong financial support.</li><li>Continuous personal development through training.</li><li>Provided with a company vehicle.</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
