About The Role We are seeking individuals to join as Director of FP&amp;A to join our finance organization. This role is central to how we plan, analyze, and invest in our battery storage business – translating complex operational and market dynamics into financial insights that drive decision-making at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, hands-on experience with implementation and integration of planning tools, and the ability to drive high-impact projects from concept through execution. The Director will report to the company’s Senior Director of Financial Planning &amp; Analysis. Core Responsibilities<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Financial Planning &amp; Analysis<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li style="margin-left:8px;">Lead the company's financial planning processes — including annual budgeting and long-range business planning, monthly forecasting — with an understanding of battery storage operations and development</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Review and maintain complex financial models that capture the full lifecycle economics of battery storage assets, from development and construction through operations, with a good understanding of tax equity and project financing model structures, to support project planning and capital optimization</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting at varying levels, from department-level reporting to executive leadership and board reporting, owning the financial narrative and understanding the detail behind it</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Partner directly with operations, commercial, and development teams to build corporate- and project-level financial models that support investment decisions and executive-level business decisions, connecting rigorous financial analysis to strategic priorities across the portfolio</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Drive high-priority strategic projects, including but not limited to, tax equity and project finance analysis, capital planning scenario modeling, benchmarking analysis, portfolio and enterprise valuation analysis</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in financial planning and reporting and implementing solutions that increase speed, accuracy, and scalability of financial planning and reporting as the business grows</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Present to executive and board-level audiences with clarity, concision and confidence, backed by deep expertise and firsthand command of the numbers</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px;">FP&amp;A Technology Leadership<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li style="margin-left:8px;">Lead the hands-on evaluation and end-to-end implementation of planning tools and reporting infrastructure — from standardizing requirements to configuring workflows to managing UAT and execution</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Oversee and maintain integrations between FP&amp;A systems and upstream operational and commercial data sources including ERP, Asset Lifecycle Management, ETRM and CRM platforms, ensuring data accuracy and scalability</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Own data migration, systems integration, and go-live execution, applying prior implementation experience to anticipate risk and maintain financial data integrity throughout system transitions</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Establish governance frameworks, data standards, and system administration protocols that support long-term platform scalability and financial controls</li></ul></li></ul> Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">7-10+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with meaningful tenure in FP&amp;A roles.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Demonstrated experience leading FP&amp;A or finance technology implementations, including EPM/CPM platforms such as Anaplan, Planful, Adaptive, or Oracle EPBCS.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Hands-on experience building and maintaining complex PowerBI backend data models, connecting to enterprise data sources such as ERP systems, and building dashboard visuals.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Proven track record driving complex, cross-functional special projects or strategic initiatives from initiation through delivery as a direct contributor.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Advanced financial modeling skills with hands-on experience in project finance, capital budgeting, and long-range planning.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Direct experience in battery storage, renewables, or broader energy sector strongly preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Familiarity with battery storage commercial structures, tax equity structures, project finance, and development-stage asset economics preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">MBA, CFA, or CPA designation preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth finance organization</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Harvey) to improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness of work, while applying sound judgment and appropriate oversight.</li></ul> Compensation, Location &amp;
