<div>Berwick, PA. - Talen Energy is soliciting candidates interested in filling the position of Instructional Technologist at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station located near Berwick, Pennsylvania.   The primary purpose of this position is to provide educational consulting services and performance improvement recommendations for Talen Energy – Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC. This includes rigorous application of the Systematic Approach to Training. Teaching instructors and line management the Systematic Approach to Training process. The Instructional Technologist is responsible to evaluate training effectiveness, instructor performance, track and trend information, prepare and review training procedures, and review training material to improve station performance.</div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, one of the largest dual-unit, Boiling Water Reactor sites in the U.S., delivers approximately 2700 MW of electricity to the grid in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Must be able to explain abstract concepts to people from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels</p></li><li><p>Organize and perform work activities independently, and handle multiple assignments with specific time constraints</p></li><li><p>Conduct training delivery as required. Present classroom lectures, develop computer-based training (CBT), and administer trainee evaluations</p></li><li><p>Perform benchmarking and self-assessments and develop plans to improve Susquehanna's training processes and behaviors</p></li><li><p>Evaluate instructors and provide feedback to improve performance</p></li><li><p>Track and trend information to identify areas for improvement and recommend methods to improve performance</p></li><li><p>Support the station in an outage support role</p></li><li><p>Perform Emergency Response Organization position and duties, as assigned</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>B.S. or B.A. in Adult Education, Education, or a related field</p></li><li><p>Five years related work experience in applying the Systematic Approach to Training in highly technical and high-risk business environments</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communications skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to work as an effective member of a team</p></li><li><p>Ability to conduct training as an instructor and a facilitator</p></li><li><p>Ability to conduct comprehensive, critical self-assessments and recommend actions to correct any identified deficiencies</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Detailed knowledge of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO) Accreditation process and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) training process is preferred</p></li><li><p>M.S. in Instructional Technology or M.Ed. in a related field of study</p></li><li><p>INPO Mentor Certification</p></li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p style="text-align:left;"><b>Note: </b><span>You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
