The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth for Sensata’s Automotive Electrification portfolio, with a focus on battery protection solutions across European automotive Tier customers. This role focuses on building pipeline, identifying new opportunities, and positioning Sensata in early-stage customer programs within a dynamic and evolving market.<h1>Key Responsibilities</h1><ul><li>Develop and execute a new business acquisition strategy across key European automotive Tier customers</li><li>Build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities in electrification and battery protection</li><li>Act as the primary commercial interface for assigned prospects and accounts</li><li>Engage cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing</li><li>Lead early-stage customer discussions, particularly with engineering teams during development phases</li><li>Coordinate internal teams to ensure effective solution positioning and proposal delivery</li><li>Deliver sales growth aligned with business targets and long-term strategic goals</li></ul><h1>Required Experience</h1><ul><li>5–10 years in Business Development / Sales in Automotive sector</li><li>Proven experience in new business acquisition (hunter profile)</li><li>Experience working with automotive Tier suppliers and/or OEM ecosystem</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments</li></ul><h1>Preferred Experience</h1><ul><li>Exposure to automotive electrification, battery systems, or electronics</li><li>Technical understanding enabling discussions with engineering teams</li><li>Experience managing multi-country European accounts</li></ul><h1>Key Competencies</h1><ul><li>Strong commercial acumen and pipeline creation mindset</li><li>Ability to navigate complex, matrix organizations</li><li>High personal drive, resilience, and adaptability</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Fluent Germany and English</li></ul><h1>Location:</h1><ul><li>Germany</li></ul>Base Salary Range: €74,400.00 - €102,300.00The salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.Starting SalaryThe starting salary offered will be based on objective, gender-neutral criteria , (e.g internal equivalency, relevant skills, experience, qualifications etc.).
