Job DetailsJob Location: Tempo Headquarters Irving - Irving, TX 75061Summary: Perform warranty work for HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment.  Identify and solve problems that might impede the completion of work within budgeted time.  Provide feedback/suggestions to supervisors on ways to improve quality and reduce costs.  Complete approved repairs/improvements in a timely manner including collecting any payments as needed.Reports to: Warranty ManagerEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Identify and solve problems that might prevent the completion of workFollow defined installation procedures for HVAC/R equipment according to company instructions/policy.Complete warranty work in accordance with company standards, while maintaining qualityClean equipment/work area and “dress out” installationEnsure complete customer satisfaction and sign-off upon completion of workComplete all paperwork required by management and record hours and all materials usedCollect for work performed, if applicable, unless other payment arrangements have been made in advanceReturn unused material and inventoryKeep assigned vehicle stocked, organized and cleanTrack vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessaryContact the office following the completion of each job, providing requested information regarding the work completedIdentify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvementsOther duties as neededQualificationsEPA certified for R22, R410A, R454B and R32Valid driver's licenseClean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)Ability to follow/perform troubleshooting and installation procedures for HVAC/R equipmentAbility to follow controls/wiring schematicAbility to braze/solder/weldAbility to perform minor field fabricationAbility to lift 100 poundsStandard technician toolsCompetent in field technologyTwo or more years of experience as an HVAC/R installation, maintenance, or service technicianNATE certification preferred or willingness to work to attain NATE certificationNeat, clean, professional appearancePass a pre-employment drug screen, physical test, and criminal background check Physical Qualifications:Average 40 hours per week Some overtime/weekend work as assigned.May work outside, in crawl spaces, and atticsSome lifting and physical exertion requiredBrazing, soldering, and welding requiredWork with sheet metal and sharp objectsSome tasks, meetings, training, etc. is compensated on an hourly basisBenefits:Stock accumulation plan based on continuous serviceEmployee ownership (ESOP) with weekly employer match 20%Competitive pay120 hours PTOBereavement Pay7 Paid holidays1 Floating holidayHealth Insurance (company pays approx. 70% of medical coverage chosen, Dental, Vision Insurance (optional)$25,000 life insurance/$25,000 AD&amp;D (additional voluntary life/AD&amp;D products available)Disability income protection plan (Short-Term (optional) &amp; Long-Term Disability, paid by company)401 (k) savings planContinuing education and training programsTempo is committed to equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants without regard to race, religion, color, gender identity, ethnicity, age, creed, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability status, veteran status, marital status, or any other category protected by applicable law.
