For more information, please visit us at <a href="http://www.xylem.com/">www.xylem.com</a>.Overview: AWS Cheektowaga (StandardXchange), a Xylem brand, provides heat transfer solutions for the industrial and commercial markets. The Heat Transfer team is seeking an assembler for its standard product line.  The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work instructions to assemble shell and tube heat exchangers.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: <ul><li>Receive instructions, prints and/or work orders.</li><li>Plan and perform a wide variety of assembly operations.</li><li>Maintain close tolerance and alignment.</li><li>Rig and operate department crane to handle, move and position parts and/or  units.</li><li>Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of practice and techniques principle application and operation of various types of equipment, tools, fixtures and instruments, and the ability to plan and execute difficult work.</li><li>Lubricate and clean equipment daily.</li><li>Observe all Safety and Shop Rules.</li><li>Assist and/or train new employees in job classification        .</li><li>Each person is responsible for the quality of work and inspection of work with  gauges  to  insure that  product  or pieces  made are to the specifications on the  work  order  without   deviation.</li><li>Plan and   perform gasket cutting operations.</li><li>Perform work requiring the application of adhesive and gasketing all  Heat Exchangers as required.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:<ul><li>High School Degree or GED</li><li>Must have 1 year of manufacturing assembly experience</li><li>Pass a written test</li></ul><h1>Additional Information:  </h1><ul><li>Lifting (30-35 lbs.), manufacturing floor environment</li><li>Regularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility</li><li>Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees on a daily basis.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
