We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What You’ll Do  <ul><li>Own mechanical design components of the energy and power dense ESS for future battery pack design powering Archer’s FAA type certified eVTOL air taxi. </li><li>Develop designs meeting the required mechanical, electrical, and thermal specifications unique to a lithium-ion battery system. </li><li>Utilize lightweight materials and clever packaging solutions to reduce weight. </li><li>Perform hand calculations of designs followed by optimization in FEA software packages. </li><li>Work with the test and integration teams to ensure performance requirements are met at both the bench and aircraft levels. </li><li>Support with sustaining efforts on current battery design. </li><li>Conduct basic testing and validation of battery systems and components. </li><li>Design and build prototypes to prove out design concepts. </li><li>Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of battery systems related to your components. </li><li>Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul> Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum Experience Requirement: 2 years of experience in mechanical design, HV systems and design practices, CAD / tolerance stack / GD&amp;T, developing parts with various manufacturing processes in aerospace, energy, or automotive companies Please apply online at: https://www.archer.com/careers.
