Description<div>Founded in 1943 in Kent, Ohio, Hamilton Kent has grown to be a multinational manufacturer and distributor of resilient-rubber, watertight, sealing systems and components. Focusing primarily on seals for infrastructure pipe systems, we provide a complete package – from design and development, through production and testing, to warehousing and shipping.We currently have an exciting career opportunity as a Fabrication Operator!This role is based in our facility in Winchester, Tennessee, and reports to our Production Manager. The successful candidate will operate and run machinery with the purpose of supporting efficient production as well as adhering to safety expectations. The hours for this position will be for nights, Monday-Wednesday 7pm-7am.Requirements<ul><li>Troubleshoot and address production process problems as they arise</li><li>Ready and understand technical documentation and work instructions</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures</li><li>Ensure and follow quality procedures are adhered to (pin holes, splicing, accurate count, accurate shipping labels, etc) and fill out the production records</li><li>Meet and maintain company ISO quality and production requirements</li><li>Working knowledge of and ability to use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauge pins, impact testing and pressure test equipment</li><li>Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Other duties as the need arises or as assigned</li></ul>Tools &amp; Equipment<ul><li>Tape splicing caracal</li><li>Automatic palletizer</li><li>Basic hand tools</li><li>Utility knife</li><li>Measuring tools</li><li>Inspection tools and gauges (check pipes, micrometer)</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>The person in this role spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment, which will involve varying degrees of light to moderate physical labor</li><li>Requires good mobility and involves considerable lifting (less than 25 lbs.,) pulling, bending, standing, and walking</li><li>Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, and the use of share blades for cutting rubber, however, incumbent will use standard protective equipment such as but not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and aprons</li><li>Incumbent understands, respects and adheres to workplace Health &amp; Safety rules and regulations, which are derived from the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act</li></ul>Pay <ul><li>Starts at $17.56/hour</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>401 (k) retirement</li><li>Referral Program</li></ul>Hamilton Kent is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities through the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with quality job applicants to provide suitable accommodations in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
