Position Overview: This position will be based out of our San Luis Obispo, CA location.We are seeking a motivated and experienced Solar Sales Representative to join our team, focused on identifying and converting new residential solar opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, solid product knowledge, and the ability to guide clients through the entire process from first contact to signed contract. Execute change orders and update systems accordingly.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and addressing their concerns and questions.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest solar PV technology and industry trends to effectively educate clients and offer innovative solutions.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Market Research: Continuously research and analyze the solar PV market, competitors, and industry developments to identify opportunities and stay competitive.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs set by the company.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all sales activities, including client interactions, contracts, change orders, and project details.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Collaboration: Collaborate with our technical and installation teams, project management, and finance to ensure a smooth transition from sale to project implementation, to final sign-off of the project. </li></ul>Requirements<ul style=""><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Experience: Proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Solar industry experience highly preferred.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar PV technology, renewable energy concepts, and knowledge of rebates and incentives.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Customer Service: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Self-Direction: Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Technical Tools: Proficiency in using CRM software (Hubspot) and the Google stack.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">REQUIRED: Current HIS License or able to obtain HIS License within 4 weeks of start date.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not mandatory. </li></ul>Pay for this position is an hourly base plus uncapped commission. OTE for fully ramped representatives typically ranges between $120k-$200k per year, depending on performance.
