ROLE PURPOSE The Senior Project Manager will lead delivery of Waste-to-Energy and related waste infrastructure projects in Singapore and the wider region. This is a “technical project manager” role: we expect our project managers to be strongly technically minded, to understand the engineering and commercial drivers, and to actively engage in the technical work - not just coordinate.The role combines(1) project management accountability (scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality), with(2) engineering design leadership, including coordinating and directing a multi-disciplinary engineering team and reviewing/challenging technical deliverables to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and compliant with project requirements.On projects where there is no separate Engineering/Design Manager, the Senior Project Manager is expected to assume design management responsibilities (design coordination, interfaces, integrated design schedule, cross-discipline alignment, and design reviews).KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA) Project Management / Delivery Leadership<ul><li>Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, reporting and governance.</li><li>Establish and maintain the project schedule (time and cost) and actively follow-up on progress, forecasts and key delivery risks.</li><li>Mobilise and manage the Ramboll project team and sub-consultants (where applicable), including clear role definition, coordination, and performance management.</li><li>Maintain an updated scope of work and ensure changes are controlled, communicated and implemented across the team.</li><li>Manage project communications and stakeholder interfaces; prepare and lead project meetings and ensure actions are closed out.</li><li>Prepare progress reports and provide clear, decision-ready recommendations to clients and internal leadership.</li><li>Ensure project delivery is compliant with Ramboll quality management requirements, HSEQ expectations and professional standards.</li></ul>B) Engineering Design Leadership<ul><li>Coordinate and lead a large multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver design outputs to required quality and timelines.</li><li>Hold full knowledge of contracted design scope and deliverables per phase and discipline; break scope into work/design packages with clear deliverables and accountabilities.</li><li>Identify and manage design interfaces across disciplines and packages; close information gaps early to avoid rework and delays.</li><li>Develop and drive an integrated design schedule aligned to interfaces, dependencies and agreed review/approval cycles.</li><li>Plan and lead interdisciplinary design meetings and design reviews; ensure timely decisions and resolution of technical issues.</li><li>Review and challenge engineering designs and contractor submissions (as applicable), ensuring compliance with requirements and clear technical justification for decisions.</li><li>Manage design changes/variations, ensuring agreed changes are communicated across disciplines and reflected in deliverables, schedules and cost forecasts.</li><li>Lead technical discussions with the client and project stakeholders to ensure the solution meets objectives, requirements and specifications.</li></ul>C) Technical Advisory / Owner’s Engineer / Procurement Support (as required by project stage)<ul><li>Support development of key project technical deliverables such as feasibility study report, due diligences, design basis and employer requirements/tender specifications (as applicable).</li><li>Support technical aspects of EPC procurement and contracting, including tender clarifications and technical evaluations.</li><li>Manage the design review process during project implementation, including review of design document packages and formal responses/acceptance workflows.</li><li>Undertake site visits, inspections, and provide oversight of construction and commissioning activities where required by the project scope.</li></ul>D)  Client and Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted day-to-day point of contact on assigned projects.</li><li>Coordinate effectively with internal discipline leads, global specialists, vendors, contractors and partners to drive delivery outcomes.</li><li>Escalate key issues early and provide clear options and recommendations to support timely decisions.</li></ul>
