<h2>Overview</h2><p>The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for executing corporate and plant specific Food Safety, Quality and Laboratory requirements.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Ensure product quality and compliance by interpreting manufacturing and engineering requirements and developing, executing, and refining analytical testing methods and procedures.</li> <li>Develop and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and QA protocols, ensuring alignment with GMP, GLP, and GDP standards for ESL and aseptic processing.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, production, and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency and safety.</li> <li>Administer and continuously improve the Quality Control program, ensuring products meet established food safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards.</li> <li>Monitor and achieve internal quality KPIs, maintaining accurate, audit-ready records of inspections, testing results, and compliance activities.</li> <li>Ensure strict adherence to GMP standards across production and support areas, proactively identifying and addressing compliance gaps.</li> <li>Oversee sanitation and housekeeping standards within manufacturing and laboratory environments to maintain a clean, organized, and audit-compliant facility.</li> <li>Drive consistency in quality systems by enforcing established standards, policies, and best practices across all plant operations.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in and facilitating changes to processes, systems, and quality programs.</li> <li>Assist in training and onboarding of plant personnel on quality procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with production teams regarding quality performance, deviations, and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution of issues.</li> <li>Safeguard company assets, including laboratory equipment and PPE, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and accountability.</li> <li>Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and cleanliness in all assigned areas.</li> <li>Participate in required company training programs and stay current with industry regulations and best practices.</li> <li>Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality assurance objectives and overall plant operations.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Must read, write and communicate in English.</li> <li>Must be able to taste all foods with no aversions or allergies.</li> <li>Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued shirt, hat, safety glasses, earplugs and hairnet in production areas.</li> <li>Able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment</li> <li>Able to perform root cause analysis.</li> <li>Able to communicate and work well with people on all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Able to receive, analyze and report out information efficiently.</li> <li>Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) – ability to follow laboratory SOPs.</li> <li>Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) - ability to keep proper records.</li> <li>Strong computer literacy – MS applications, databases.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze large amounts of data and determine deficiencies.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li> <li>1-2 years – Experience in food or manufacturing preferred.</li> <li>Ability to successfully complete and maintain all required equipment-specific training, certifications, and operational qualifications.</li></ul><p> This position is classified as Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime). The expected hourly rate for this position is between $21.00 – $26.00 per hour based on a full-time schedule. As a 3rd shift employee, your shift differential pay is $1.00 for all hours worked during your assigned shift.
