AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for the Ottawa ON offices. She/he will be expected to work within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and internal/external clients. He/she will have a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers primarily within transportation.  We are looking for a Civil Engineer – with structural specialty in bridges, dams, retaining walls, marine structure and/or moveable bridges.This is a newly created role.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Grows their analytic and design skills in structural engineering</li><li>Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer, supervises less experienced engineers.</li><li>Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings</li><li>Collects and analyzes data</li><li>Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic and complex engineering problems.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule</li><li>Occasional on-site work including inspections, construction support such as documentation of site conditions, equipment, material installations, quantities and the work being performed by the Contractor</li><li>Structural Modeling with Midas Civil;</li><li>Ensuring Overall data quality and integrity;</li><li>Undertake quality control procedures</li><li>Prepare documentation for design projects and reports</li><li>Ensures deficiencies are corrected prior to acceptance of the work</li><li>Perform Project Manager duties and Deputy Manager duties as well as provide oversight to junior engineers and technical staff.</li></ul> <ul></ul>
