Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: General Duties <ul><li>Be able to perform all essential Engineer II responsibilities </li><li>Document meeting minutes for engineering and permitting-related meetings and distribute action items. </li></ul> Pursuit &amp; Preliminary Design Support <ul><li>Review technical RFP documents and provide engineering and permitting input to the estimating team. </li><li>Represent SOLV engineering and permitting teams during pursuit and early-phase coordination meetings. </li></ul> Multi-Discipline Engineering Coordination <ul><li>Ensure coordination of design deliverables prepared by internal and external stakeholders responsible for the project scope of work. </li><li>Develop working knowledge of project-specific design requirements, including SOLV standards, owner/contract requirements, and permitting conditions. </li><li>Review consultant deliverables for alignment with project-specific requirements and flag deviations or risks for escalation. </li><li>Track and manage engineering and permitting deliverable schedules in coordination with project management. </li><li>Act as a single point of contact for all engineering disciplines to internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Review and approve consultant proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. </li><li>Provide QA/QC oversight of individual consultant work products as well as the fully integrated, multi-discipline design. </li><li>Share lessons learned and best practices across projects to improve future execution. </li></ul> Owner, IE &amp; Consultant Interface <ul><li>Manage Owner, Owner’s Engineer, and Independent Engineer submittals  </li><li>Coordinate review comments with consultants and track responses to closure. </li><li>Assist in responding to Owner and IE comments and clarifications. </li><li>Represent the engineering and permitting team during Owner and consultant meetings as assigned. </li></ul> Permitting &amp; AHJ Coordination <ul><li>Support permitting efforts by coordinating with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) at the federal, state, and local levels. </li><li>Attend in-person AHJ meetings as needed </li><li>Act as a coordination point between internal engineering teams, external consultants, and AHJs. </li><li>Track engineering and permitting changes that may impact project scope, cost, or schedule and elevate risks appropriately. </li><li>Develop familiarity with AHJ requirements across jurisdictions and assist in communicating those requirements to internal teams. </li><li>Assist with due diligence during RFP stages, including review of CUPs, environmental studies, wetlands permits, and related documentation. </li><li>Support preparation, QA/QC, and submission of permit applications. </li></ul> Contract &amp; Due Diligence Support <ul><li>Review EPC contract exhibits related to owner- and contractor-obtained permits and flag issues or inconsistencies. </li><li>Review EPC contract exhibits for value engineering opportunities and compliance with SOLV standards </li></ul> Process Support <ul><li>Identify gaps in existing engineering process and workflow through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Develop process updates and standards to increase efficiency and value of overall Engineering team </li><li>Train up the team on process changes  </li></ul> Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: <ul><li>4–7 years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects. </li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred). </li><li>Engineer-in-Training (F.E.)  </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD. </li><li>Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. </li><li>Ability to adapt and respond quickly in a fast-paced EPC environment. </li><li>Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability. </li><li>Clear written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to travel up to 20% to project sites or partner offices and work in active construction environments, with reasonable accommodation  </li></ul> Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
