We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the creation, development, and maintenance of complex mechanical designs and CAD data, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams. This role is suited to a proactive and capable engineer with strong experience in 3D CAD, a solid understanding of GD&amp;T, and the confidence to contribute to technical discussions while continuing to develop their expertise.ZeroAvia is at the forefront of building a new clean‑aviation ecosystem, and the successful candidate will be joining a world-class team that is passionate about developing solutions that are not only zero-emission but also commercially competitive and technically groundbreaking.Requirements<h3>Responsibilities:</h3>CAD Design &amp; Ownership:<ul><li>Take responsibility for CAD design and associated data for assigned components and assemblies, with support where required.</li><li>Create detailed 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies (NX preferred).</li><li>Produce high-quality 2D production drawings in line with ASME standards and applicable regulatory requirements.</li><li>Maintain CAD and engineering assets within the PLM system (Teamcenter or similar).</li><li>Contribute to CAD design solutions for technical challenges across multiple projects.</li></ul>Engineering &amp; Analysis: <ul><li>Apply a sound understanding of GD&amp;T, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.</li><li>Demonstrate awareness of stress analysis principles and their impact on design decisions.</li><li>Support simulation or analysis activities (mechanical, stress, thermal, or fluid) where required.</li><li>Ensure designs align with aerospace regulatory standards where applicable.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration:<ul><li>Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.</li><li>Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and manufacturing personnel to ensure clear understanding of design intent.</li><li>Support liaison with operations during part manufacture, helping to resolve design issues and update drawings as needed.</li></ul>Experience &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Ideally 3–5+ years of industry experience</li><li>Proficient user of 3D CAD (NX preferred)</li><li>Good understanding of GD&amp;T (ASME)</li><li>Experience with Teamcenter PLM or similar systems</li><li>Knowledge of materials, finishes, and relevant manufacturing processes (including additive manufacturing)</li><li>Experience with fuel-cell-related systems (advantageous)</li><li>Capable of producing high-quality CAD models and mechanical drawings</li></ul>BenefitsAt ZeroAvia, we’re clean sky thinkers.
