This role is responsible for the design, administration, security, and operational support of enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, cloud, virtualization, and end-user computing platforms.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure professional who is equally comfortable managing Windows Server environments, troubleshooting Linux systems, automating administrative tasks, supporting cloud services, and partnering with cybersecurity and networking teams to maintain a secure and reliable technology environment.</p><p>This position will serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex infrastructure issues while contributing to modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p> </p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Infrastructure Administration</h3><ul><li>Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure.</li><li>Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, certificate services, and identity management platforms.</li><li>Support virtualization platforms including VMware and/or Hyper-V.</li><li>Maintain enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.</li><li>Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity across infrastructure platforms.</li><li>Participate in infrastructure lifecycle management, including system upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities.</li></ul><h3>Cloud &amp; Platform Services</h3><ul><li>Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID.</li><li>Assist with administration of Microsoft Azure, AWS, and other cloud-hosted infrastructure services.</li><li>Support hybrid identity and hybrid infrastructure environments.</li><li>Participate in cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.</li></ul><h3>Security &amp; Compliance</h3><ul><li>Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls in partnership with Information Security teams.</li><li>Perform vulnerability remediation, patch management, system hardening, and access reviews.</li><li>Support endpoint security, identity security, privileged access management, and logging initiatives.</li><li>Assist with compliance, audit, and governance activities.</li><li>Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related security incidents.</li></ul><h3>Automation &amp; Operational Excellence</h3><ul><li>Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, diagrams, and operating procedures.</li><li>Improve operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and process optimization.</li><li>Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations as needed.</li></ul><h3>Collaboration &amp; Leadership</h3><ul><li>Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.</li><li>Mentor junior administrators and technical support personnel.</li><li>Collaborate with networking, security, application, and business teams to deliver technology solutions.</li><li>Work with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure initiatives.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>7+ years of enterprise systems administration experience.</li><li>Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.</li><li>Working knowledge of Linux administration (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).</li><li>Experience managing Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.</li><li>Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.</li><li>Experience with PowerShell and at least one additional scripting language such as Bash or Python.</li><li>Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.</li><li>Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.</li></ul><p> </p><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Experience administering Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and services.</li><li>Experience with Autopilot and modern endpoint management.</li><li>Familiarity with Linux server administration in production environments.</li><li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, or configuration management tools.</li><li>Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.</li><li>Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, or Azure certifications.</li><li>Experience supporting distributed or global organizations.</li></ul><p> </p><h2>What Success Looks Like</h2><ul><li>Infrastructure services remain secure, reliable, and highly available.</li><li>Manual operational effort is reduced through automation and process improvement.</li><li>Security vulnerabilities and technical debt are proactively addressed.</li><li>Infrastructure projects are delivered successfully and aligned with business objectives.</li><li>The administrator serves as a trusted technical advisor across IT and business teams.</li></ul><p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:14px;">At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
