The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Plan, develop, and implement maintenance methods and procedures to reduce downtime, minimize operating costs, and optimize use of technicians, materials, and assets.</li><li>Partner with manufacturing teams to meet production targets and quality objectives.</li><li>Provide technical expertise to reduce machine breakdowns, prevent recurrence, and increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).</li><li>Coordinate training for maintenance staff, operators, and team leaders.</li><li>Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillars to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).</li><li>Lead efforts in 5S, Visual Factory, and spare parts management.</li><li>Drive improvements during equipment changes, including root cause analysis and hazard identification.</li><li>Maintain a maintenance master plan aligned with business goals.</li><li>Coordinate support services such as machining, welding, and electrical work.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, quality, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Work in outdoor and industrial environments with potential exposure to heat and dust.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or related field) with 7+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Experience managing maintenance teams and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of TPM, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.</li><li>Strong leadership experience in coaching and developing teams.</li><li>Experience using data and monitoring systems to improve reliability.</li><li>Ability to set and drive business performance targets.</li><li>Familiarity with shop floor systems (PC, PLC, robotics preferred).</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work outdoors and in extreme temperatures (above 100°F or below 32°F).</li><li>Comfortable in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.</li><li>Must follow all safety rules and wear required protective equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push, and pull for up to 12 hours.</li><li>Ability to work around moving machinery.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Must meet all applicable physical and safety standards (ADA, FMLA, etc.).</li></ul><p> </p><div><p>This position is not eligible for visa support.</p><p><strong>EEO Statement </strong></p><p>Enviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
