AECOM is actively seeking an Intermediate Civil CAD Designer for immediate employment in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of civil engineering technology and demonstrate proficiency in Civil 3D CAD software. They will be confident in using surveying equipment, including GPS and total stations, and will have substantial experience in the surveying, design, and inspection of municipal infrastructure. The Intermediate Civil CAD Designer will be expected to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members and clients. This role supports the delivery of infrastructure solutions primarily within the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.</li><li>Lead road reconstruction, land development, stormwater management, and site plan design projects.</li><li>Oversee lot grading design, surveying, and inspection/certification processes.</li><li>Collaborate on complex data sets alongside other CAD and GIS technical staff.</li><li>Ensure overall data quality and integrity throughout the design process.</li><li>Prepare detailed civil design drawings and calculations.</li><li>Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil projects.</li><li>Generate documentation for design projects and comprehensive reports.</li><li>Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards.</li><li>Promptly relay engineering-related issues to the Project Manager and follow up to ensure timely resolution.</li><li>Conduct occasional construction site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.</li></ul>
