Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>Receives parts and materials returned by customers and branch offices. Evaluates from condition of material, checks current drawing revisions and general product knowledge whether material is repairable or non-repairable. </li><li>Identifies and inspects material returned. </li><li>May perform parts structuring, checks cost structure, and determines price of repair, ensures assembly is structured correctly, and price repair. </li><li>Ensures all components are properly cleaned and free from foreign material per departmental procedures </li><li>Perform the assembly of the seal once the repair has been released to the shop and all components have been replaced or reconditioned and marked ready for assembly. </li><li>With limited supervision, repairs returned seal and seal parts. </li><li>Determines necessary repair operations, ensures BOM (bill of materials) / drawings / repair parts match. </li><li>Performs simple operations on drill press (single spindle), rotary surface grinder, bead blast polisher and lapping machine. </li><li>Verifies part specifications with measuring instruments such as micrometer, vernier caliper, dial indicator and optical flats. </li><li>May Initiate purchase orders for new jobs if vendors are involved. </li><li>Consults with Engineering or Sales departments as necessary. </li><li>Maintains necessary records and small inventory of seal parts used for repair orders. </li><li>Works from factory work orders, prints, rework orders and verbal instructions. </li><li>Assists newer repair personnel as necessary. </li><li>Sets up and troubleshoots lapping machines for repair maintenance. </li><li>Maintains a clean and neat work environment. </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li><li>Create service notifications, order components, and execute shipping and job closeout procedures in SAP software system.</li><li>Machining on lathe and mill would be an asset.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Minimum 4 years of mechanical seal equipment experience/or comparable experience within the refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets working on or maintaining equipment and 6 months to 1-year on-the-job training. </li><li>Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. </li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.    </li><li>Ability to understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. </li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. </li></ul>30‎ ‎ The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
