We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Key Responsibilities • ASSEMBLY &amp; PRODUCTION o Assemble various pumps, motors, and pump components using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures. o Build and assembly sub-assemblies for final production or service parts. o Apply product identification, labels, and required marking according to specifications. o Perform radial drill set ups and operate drilling equipment as needed. • TESTING &amp; QUALITY CONTROL o Test pumps and assemblies for leaks, performance, and proper operation. o Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming parts, in-process assemblies, and finished goods. o Report any defects, non-conforming conditions, shortages, or equipment issues promptly. • IMPELLER PREPERATION o Trim and deburr impellers to required dimensions using designated tools and equipment. o Perform static balancing of impellers by removing materials through drilling, hand tools, fixtures, or automated systems • PAINTING &amp; FINISHING o Prepare paint materials, including thinning to required viscosity when needed. o Spray paint motors, components, sub-assemblies, and completed unites using manual or hoist assisted methods. o Load and unload parts into paint booths or monorail lines safely and efficiently. • MATERIAL HANDLING &amp; PACKAGING o Move parts, components, and completed products using hand carts, forklifts, hoists, electric pallet jacks, and other authorized equipment. o Pack, crate, or skid various productions using cartons, skids, wire-bound crates, or custom-built wooden crates. o Operate power saws and hand tools to build or modify crates; perform blade changes and adjustments as needed. • DOCUMENTATION &amp; HOUSEKEEPING o Maintain production records, quality logs, and related documentation accurately. o Perform routine cleaning of equipment, tools, and work areas. o Support preventative maintenance activities as assigned. o Perform additional related duties to support team and operational needs. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required. • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required. • Ability to read and use precision measuring tools to verify specifications. Experience &amp; Skills • Typically 1-2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with larger mechanical units. • Prior experience with drilling, balancing, or painting equipment is beneficial. • Introduction to ISO, blueprint reading, hazardous waste awareness. Working Conditions • Work performed in manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, dust, and moving equipment. • Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs. • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as directed. • Must be able to work various shifts or overtime as needed to support productionThe wage progression for each classification will be 80% ($24.71) of the permanent rate for the first year of service; 90% ($27.80) of the permanent rate for the second year of service; 100% ($30.88) of permanent rate beginning third year of service.Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
