This role drives supplier performance, supports risk mitigation, and ensures compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements to maintain product quality and supply chain integrity.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and develop supplier quality performance, including monitoring KPIs such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and corrective action responsiveness.</li><li>Perform supplier evaluations, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Review and approve supplier documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102), Process Control Plans, and inspection records.</li><li>Lead and coordinate supplier corrective actions (SCARs), including root cause analysis (8D, 4-Square, RCCA) and effectiveness verification.</li><li>Support new supplier qualification and onboarding, including capability assessments and risk analysis.</li><li>Ensure compliance with flow-down requirements, including engineering specifications, key characteristics, and special process controls.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to suppliers on inspection methods, process controls, and quality requirements.</li><li>Review and disposition Receiving Inspection Nonconforming material rejection reports.</li><li>Review, process, and approve supplier requests for deviations, waivers, and clarifications.</li><li>Support incoming inspection and containment activities for nonconforming materials.</li><li>Analyze supplier performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Participate in customer, regulatory, and third-party audits (e.g., DCMA, FAA, EASA, OEM audits).</li><li>Ensure supplier adherence to traceability, configuration management, and documentation control requirements.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering</li><li>Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality management systems</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages</li><li>Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA)</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quality data analysis tools (Excel, etc.)</li><li>Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees)</li></ul>Work Environment &amp; Expectations<ul><li>Fast-paced, team-oriented environment</li><li>Electronics manufacturing / controlled environment</li><li>Use of microscopes and fine inspection tools; may require extended periods of sitting</li><li>Office and manufacturing environment with regular supplier interaction</li><li>Occasional travel required for supplier audits and evaluations</li></ul>  Salary Range: $77,900.00-$103,800.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
