Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?</p></div><h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2><p>The Production Specialist is responsible for ensuring that new plant systems and equipment are designed, installed, and commissioned with a focus on operational excellence. This role focuses on project planning, design input, safety leadership, and commissioning/startup management, bridging the gap between engineering design and long-term facility operation.</p><h2><strong>Responsibilities and Duties  </strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Operational Input:</strong> Provide expert feedback during design and equipment selection to ensure long-term operability and maintainability of new assets.</li><li>**Safety Leadership:**Active participant in HAZOPs, PHAs, and safety reviews for all capital projects to identify and mitigate operational risks.</li><li><strong>Procedure Development:</strong> Lead the creation of technical documentation, commissioning procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operating manuals, and training materials for new equipment.</li><li><strong>Commissioning and Startup:</strong> Lead operators during plant startup and commissioning phases, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to steady-state operations.</li><li><strong>Outage Planning:</strong> Coordinate and plan plant outages required for project tie-ins and equipment installations, minimizing impact on production schedules.</li><li><strong>Operator :</strong> Support operations of R&amp;D tools (ie Vega) or the startup of production tools.</li><li><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong> Provide work direction and daily oversight of project operators in both long term and short term assignments to support project design, execution, commissioning and operation. </li></ul><h2><strong>Knowledge and Skill Requirements </strong></h2><ul><li>10+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Experience in Project design and commissioning.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of PFDs and P&amp;IDs.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret PFDs and P&amp;IDs.</li><li>Working knowledge of large scale project management.</li><li>Familiarity with SDS information for safe handling of hazardous materials.</li><li>Expert understanding Lock/Tag Out requirements</li><li>Proficiency in monitoring and operating process equipment using SOPs.</li><li>Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).</li><li>Ability to operate and understand SCADA systems.</li><li>Working knowledge of OPC and large scale project management</li></ul><h2><strong>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</strong></h2><ul><li>Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes</li><li>Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts</li><li>Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time</li><li>Climb stairs or over containment walls</li><li>Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location</li></ul><p><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Work Schedule:</span></em></p><p>Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day (flexibility on specific day time hours)</p><p>The starting base pay for this role is between $95,000 and $120,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
