Working in Southern European Origination: Statkraft’s Southern European Origination team concludes non-standard, structured and often complex transactions in wholesale energy markets of Spain/Portugal, France, and Italy. We are organized into local Origination teams in each market plus the Portfolio Management team in Germany. While the Origination teams originate, structure, and negotiate new transactions, Portfolio Management focuses on pricing these transactions and managing the portfolio exposure in the market, including trading of power and other energy commodities. Foundational to the responsibilities of the Portfolio Management team is the development of sophisticated pricing models und underlying stochastic and fundamental power market models. All teams closely collaborate on a joint “one team – one PnL” philosophy per region. Statkraft’s Southern European Origination has been a first mover on long-term PPAs in Spain and Italy with more than 50 wind and solar PPAs contracted. In addition, the portfolio consists of tailor-made long-term agreements with IPPs/generators and large end customers as well as other non-standard flexible and structured wholesale products. Furthermore, Southern European Origination is running a PPA business in France and holds a sizeable route-to-market renewables portfolios in that market.  We are looking for an intern to join the Southern European Origination Portfolio Management team for a 6 month internship, starting 1st October 2026. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Gain first-hand and in-depth understanding of power markets and related commodities with a focus on renewable energy and learn the fundamentals of energy trading  </li><li>Support trading activities with analysis of key market factors, which will allow for a better decision making on a daily basis </li><li>Strengthen our valuation of battery energy storage systems with analysis of revenue streams, risks, and portfolio effects </li><li>Build out our tool landscape to manage the portfolio of power and other commodities, including automation of reporting and data management processes  </li></ul>
