Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant – SAP Production Planning to lead and deliver manufacturing-focused SAP solutions across ECC and S/4HANA environments. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong cross-module integration capabilities, and the ability to guide clients through complex transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA migrations and advanced manufacturing optimization.The ideal candidate will combine hands-on configuration experience with strategic advisory skills, driving end-to-end solution design while mentoring junior team members and engaging with executive stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Solution Design &amp; Delivery<ul><li>Lead end-to-end SAP PP solution design and execution for manufacturing clients</li><li>Conduct fit-to-standard workshops and define optimal business processes</li><li>Configure and implement: </li><ul><li>Master data structures (BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions)</li><li>Demand management and MRP strategies (MTS, MTO, CTO)</li><li>Capacity planning and production scheduling</li></ul></ul>S/4HANA &amp; Transformation<ul><li>Support ECC to S/4HANA migrations (brownfield and greenfield approaches)</li><li>Lead transition from classic PP to embedded PP-DS</li><li>Design and implement MRP Live, predictive MRP, and DDMRP concepts</li><li>Enable adoption of Fiori shop floor apps and Manufacturing Cockpit</li></ul>Integration &amp; Cross-Functional Alignment<ul><li>Drive integration across SAP modules, including: </li><ul><li>PP-MM (procurement-driven production, subcontracting, external processing)</li><li>PP-SD (ATP, sales order-driven production, scheduling)</li><li>PP-QM (quality inspection, batch release, in-process controls)</li><li>PP-FI/CO (product costing, WIP, variance analysis, settlement)</li><li>PP-EWM/WM (material staging, warehouse integration)</li><li>PP-PM (resource and equipment availability)</li></ul></ul>Manufacturing Innovation<ul><li>Implement solutions leveraging: </li><ul><li>Embedded PP-DS and advanced scheduling tools</li><li>SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) and MES integration patterns</li><li>Discrete, process, and repetitive manufacturing scenarios (REM, PI sheets, backflushing)</li><li>Variant configuration (LO-VC and S/4 AVC)</li></ul></ul>Program Leadership &amp; Advisory<ul><li>Lead RICEF identification, prioritization, and estimation for PP workstreams</li><li>Define data migration strategies for PP master data and production orders</li><li>Develop cutover and parallel-run strategies for manufacturing operations</li><li>Provide client-facing advisory, including executive presentations and steering committees</li><li>Contribute to SOW development and effort estimation</li></ul> Team Leadership<ul><li>Mentor junior consultants and provide technical oversight</li><li>Drive best practices and ensure quality delivery across project teams</li></ul>RequirementsSAP Production Planning Expertise<ul><li>Strong hands-on experience with: </li><ul><li>Classic MRP (ECC) and production planning processes</li><li>Master data design: BOMs, routings, work centers, resources</li><li>Demand management and supply strategies (MTS, MTO, CTO)</li><li>Capacity planning and detailed scheduling </li></ul></ul> S/4HANA &amp; Advanced Planning<ul><li>Experience with: </li><ul><li>Embedded PP-DS</li><li>S/4HANA manufacturing capabilities and migration strategies</li><li>Transition from ECC PP to S/4HANA solutions</li></ul></ul>Integration Experience<ul><li>Proven track record integrating PP with MM, SD, and other logistics modules</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience with: </li><ul><li>MRP Live (S/4HANA)</li><li>Variant Configuration (LO-VC) and Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC)</li><li>All manufacturing order types: </li><ul><li>Discrete manufacturing</li><li>Process manufacturing (PI sheets, batch management)</li><li>Repetitive manufacturing (REM)</li></ul></ul><li>Exposure to: </li><ul><li>Demand-Driven MRP (DDMRP) and predictive planning models</li><li>SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) and MES integrations</li><li>Manufacturing Fiori apps and shop floor digitalization</li></ul></ul> Nice-to-Have Skills<ul><li>Experience in additional SAP modules: </li><ul><li>WM/EWM, SD, FI/CO, or broader SCM</li></ul><li>Deep expertise in Variant Configuration, including: </li><ul><li>LO-VC to AVC migration strategy and execution</li><li>CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) tools</li></ul><li>Familiarity with: </li><ul><li>SAP BTP / BAIP and modern development frameworks (MTA, CAP, RAP)</li><li>Integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP systems</li></ul></ul> Key Competencies<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities</li><li>Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions</li><li>Leadership mindset with a focus on mentoring and collaboration</li></ul> Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field</li><li>7+ years of SAP PP experience, including full lifecycle implementations</li><li>Proven experience in large-scale SAP transformation programs</li></ul>
